“Google is your friend” has been most people’s watchword to be able to search on google, visit websites and get information. All of these wouldn’t have been possible without a web developer.

All websites we see were built by a developer called web developers.

….So What is Web Development?

Simply, web development is the process of building websites or web apps for the internet through coding and some programming languages. We also have some no-code website builders like WordPress.

There are two aspects of web development, they are frontend web development and backend web development.

Picture from google

Frontend Web Development: This is the practice of using frontend languages(Html, CSS, JavaScript(these are the basic languages)) to create websites or web applications that users can see and interact with. This is also known as client-side development.

Looking at the image above, you can see that the front end is the fine side, which you can see and relate to. when you saw the front side of it, you were like “aww this is beautiful” and you see the need to use it.

You can get the frontend developer roadmap here and also know the necessary skills to learn and not to learn.

Backend Web Development: This is also known as client-side development. It contributes to the building of websites and web apps, but not visible to users but makes users have a good experience using websites and web apps. It makes websites and web apps dynamic!

Everything that communicates between the database and the browser is done on the backend!

You can get the backend developer roadmap here and also know the necessary skills to learn and not to learn.
