From Shy to Confident: Unveiling My Journey of Becoming a Dynamic Public Speaker.
In 2014/2015, I started noticing how shy I was facing anybody either male or female. I missed out on opportunities because I was always looking for a reasons not to grab it.
My mathematics teacher would always come to me for a cowbell competition(a popular mathematics competition) and some other maths competition because I was the best in mathematics in my class, I used to come up with excuses like “I am not feeling too well”, and “My stomach is aching me”. Always afraid of facing anybody or competitions.
I always thought to myself, even if I speak, they won’t understand me. Also what if I speak and I am saying rubbish? what if it’s not correct? what if my knowledge is wrong? Many other things went through my mind so I was always looking down, not looking up in case someone want to talk to me and engage me in any conversation and because of that, I didn’t know how to make friends, so I didn’t have much.
I continued in this act till I entered university, The Federal University of Technology Akure, Futa and it continued, lol. Were you expecting a miracle?😂
